Archive Accessibility and Use

Presently raw, unprocessed footage is available for access to researchers, for educational purposes as it arrives at The 1947 Partition Archive headquarters in Berkeley, California. On-site access is available to both academic researchers as well as museum and collection currators, authors, filmmakers and other educational media makers.  Because the systems for automated accessibility are not yet in place, an hourly setup and access usage fee is assessed. Researchers are responsible for travel and lodging arrangements.  Our staff can provide guidance and recommendations. Accessibility systems are expected to be in place by 2016. Given the raw form of the footage currently available, accessibility is approved only on a case-by-case basis.
